Mindfulness approaches are intentional, purposeful and are facilitated by focusing on ones’ body & mind on the present experience in a manner that is non-judgmental. It helps to address symptoms associated with many commonly experienced mental health challenges and/or emotional concerns. Some of the concerns that may benefit from the practice of mindfulness include depression, anxiety, chronic pain, trauma, substance abuse, and OCD. Techniques can be tailored to each individuals specific needs, it is not a one size fits all type of therapy. Mindfulness is a great addition to any therapeutic setting and our therapists are highly skilled and trained within this approach.
