Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a commonly used intervention that assists clients’ in understanding their thoughts and feelings and how they influence their behavior. Within the course of treatment clients will learn to recognize and change negative thought patterns. This therapeutic intervention is used to treat a number of mental health concerns, such as depression, relationship concerns, eating disorders, addictions, and anxiety.It is typically a short-term focused, goal-oriented, and hands-on approach.
