Michaela Klimko, NCC, LPC-IT

Michaela Klimko | NCC, LPC

Michaela is a Licensed Professional Counselor working with children (starting at age 3), adolescents, and adults (up to age 30). Driven by a client-focused and strengths-based approach to therapy, Michaela utilizes various treatment modalities (Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy) to fit each client’s unique needs. She has previous clinical experience working with the eating disorder population at Rogers Behavioral Health as a Residential Care Specialist, prior to obtaining her master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Mount Mary University.

Michaela’s practice is driven by the belief that the relationship between the client and therapist is the strongest indicator for lasting change. She believes exploring the root cause of mental health symptoms and the purpose they are serving in the client’s life is the starting point to developing alternative coping strategies. Michaela works to create a safe, comforting environment to provide clients with a space to be their most vulnerable selves.
