Her experience was gained in a variety of settings including residential group homes, a world wide not-for-profit, crisis intervention in a State licensed Child Welfare Agency, a Level I and Level II outpatient substance abuse program, and private practice mental health clinics, working with children and adolescents, individuals, couples, families, and groups.

It takes real courage to ask for help, and seek a more meaningful and whole hearted life. If you are ready for change and transformation, Melony would be honored to support and empower you, while on your journey towards health and healing. We all deserve to live our best life, in the way that we choose. Melony believes the therapeutic relationship is the most important key to your success, and a good fit with your therapist is essential. You can expect that Melony will meet you right where you are, and will work together in a collaborative process to identify your obstacles, and create goals for therapy.

Melony shows up as her authentic self, in hopes that it will inspire you to do the same. A safe space that fosters growth and independence, at your comfort level, will be provided for you, so that you will eventually arrive at your determined destination. Treating the whole person-mind, body and soul, is an integral part of her work with clients, with a holistic health focus. Who you are as a person, your core values, interests, passions, and hopes and dreams will be factored into your work together, as each person is unique, and requires a plan tailored to suite them perfectly.

Melony’s therapeutic style is warm and compassionate, eclectic, interactive, and integrative. Melony’s approach combines client centered, mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral, solution focused, existential, narrative, and acceptance and commitment therapy, positive psychology, motivational interviewing, and trauma focused cognitive processing techniques. She is a Level III Brainspotting Practitioner. Melony works with clients on a variety of common concerns including overwhelming stress, unexpected life changes, transitions, relationship issues, parenting, divorce care, blended family struggles, career dissatisfaction, compassion fatigue, shame and guilt, low self esteem, loneliness, depression, anxiety, OCD, mood disorders, alcohol and drug addiction, process addictions, trauma, abuse, abandonment, and grief and loss. As a former military wife, Melony works with veterans and military families. Melony also works with the LGBTQIA community, as an Ally. It is her personal belief that we should all be able to be the person we were meant to be, and live happy and healthy lives.
