Melanie Waschbisch

Melanie is a bilingual and bicultural Licensed Professional Counselor for both children and adults. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Social work at the Inter American University of Puerto Rico and her Master’s Degree in Counseling at Evangel University’s Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield, Missouri. Her expertise includes childhood behavioral therapy and adults who need support to cope with life challenges.  

Melanie brings a variety of professional experiences to her practice. She has provided in‐home therapy for children, combined with advocacy and education for their families. She was also the initial contact person for parents and children at Lakeland, an inpatient psychiatry hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

Melanie takes pride in her bicultural identity, which helps her better understand clients from minority backgrounds. She has extensive experience working with minority populations in the greater Milwaukee Area.

Additionally, she worked at an Access Point Clinic in Milwaukee, where she assisted adults with mental health and drug/alcohol concerns to connect with the correct level of treatment.

Melanie can assist you to explore your concerns and create goals to facilitate the change you want to see. Together you will learn different techniques to acquire new ways of seeing and doing things. Her goal as a therapist is to listen without judgement, provide feedback, and education that will enhance your effectiveness and ability to cope.
