It takes great courage to seek therapy and I feel privileged to share this space with my clients. I am a patient listener, eager to learn what makes each person uniquely equipped to face life’s challenges. I believe in the power of a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship to help people discover hope, confidence, and concrete skills to help achieve goals.
With a Master’s Degree in Health Psychology and extensive teaching experience, I enjoy teaching clients about the mind-body connection and sharing information that normalizes and validates a person’s experience.
I have extensive EAP (Employee Assistance Program) experience working with employees and leaders to achieve personal and professional health, safety and productivity. I understand the complex dynamics of work environments and have supported many people in expanding skills such as emotional intelligence and conflict resolution. I am frequently called upon for public speaking engagements including conferences and workplace trainings.
My areas of specialty include helping adults with stress management, anxiety, trauma, relationship concerns, depression, grief and loss, and life transition such as career change, divorce, or a growing family.
I use an eclectic trauma-informed approach incorporating treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing. Of special interest is helping clients process highly activating issues using a body-based technique called Brainspotting.
