Chelsie Sweeney | LCSW, SAC-IT
Chelsie is a Wisconsin State Certified Advanced Practice Social Worker (APSW) with a passion for working with clients experiencing emotional distress resulting from trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, gender and sexual identity, diminished self-image, and life stressors. She strives to provide a soothing, non-judgmental environment for her clients to process and move through challenging life circumstances. She believes in empowering her clients to see the best in themselves and to challenge unhelpful thought patterns.
Chelsie aims to comfort and validate her clients while providing accountability, guidance, and a solution-focused perspective. Her therapeutic approach is eclectic and draws from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. Chelsie is passionate about working with individuals from the LGBT+ community, women experiencing trauma-related stress, and people with substance use disorders.
