Alexandra Smars, MA, LPC-IT believes that healing begins when an individual feels safe, validated, and comfortable. Alexandra works with children, teens, and adults that are struggling with anxiety, eating disorders, depression, grief, work and/or school concerns, trauma and adjustment issues. She uses a variety of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapies, Client Centered, and Motivational Interviewing. Alexandra has a variety of life experiences, which includes working on an inpatient unit with Eating disorders, being both Air Force active duty, and in the Air National Guard. Having been in the military she has a wealth of understanding as to what the service member, their family, and their children struggle with. She looks forward to learning about her clients and how they can work together to find solutions.
