Groups Offered
Safe Space: Queer Identity Group
This weekly group is designed to serve as a safe space for individuals to discuss their emerging queer identities within the LGBTQIA+ community. As members of the queer community, Chelsie & Haley understand how helpful having a designated space to process your queer identity can be. Here you can talk openly with peers about sexual orientation identities (lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, asexual, etc.) and gender identities (transgender, non-binary, agender, etc). Group topics will be chosen by the group each session. Additionally, sessions will include the sharing of resources and peer support while processing topics related to the various aspects of your identity. Topics may include:
- Exploring your identity
- Dealing with internal and external homophobia/transphobia
- Family and society expectations
- Dating and relationships with the LGBTQIA+ community
- Self-esteem and self-image
- General queer life experiences
