Groups Offered

Family Support: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

In this group, you will learn how to support your family member using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills. You will learn what skills to use to work with your teen, gain an understanding of how DBT Skills are designed to manage intense emotions, and validate your teen’s intense emotions and their felt experiences.

Candidates for this group must have a teen starting the Adolescent Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Group at Red Oak Counseling or have had a teen who has successfully completed DBT Skills 101. This is a closed group format, meaning that materials in each session are important to the following group sessions. Please contact the group facilitator prior to joining if there are scheduling concerns that may prevent participation in the course.
