Frequently Asked Questions

Question: What can I expect from therapy?

Answer: Your program will begin with a comprehensive Assessment to address your concerns and to determine your desires for treatment. All of our programs are confidential and designed to incorporate your desires while fostering growth from the direction of our advanced trained therapist. The length or time of treatment will be determined by you and your therapist.

Question: Who will I be meeting with?

Answer: All of the staff at Red Oak Counseling are Licensed professionals specializing in mental health and AODA issues. We will ask you a few questions when you contact the clinic and assign you a therapist based on your needs, times available and their specialized training.

Question: How often and for how long do we meet?

Answer: All programs are designed with your needs in mind. However, we find that most clients benefit from at least two sessions per month. The intake process and initial assessment can take up to 1.5 hours to complete, thereafter individual sessions are 50 minutes in length.

Question: Isn’t Therapy Expensive?

Answer: We often use your insurance for reimbursement of treatment and we also offer a sliding scale for those who do not have insurance benefits. Our clients often say they view therapy as an investment in their future.
